Well, you would think they are less expensive, but the only aircraft-approved model is made by Precise Flight and costs $250. see: _http://www.preciseflight.com/plite1210.html#69_ There are models made for emergency vehicles priced around %55-$100 that might work, but it is doubtful you'd get them signed off. I think it's a great idea too and I'm searching for an appropriate place to mount the additional switch, two circuit breakers. and the flasher unit in my Alon.
