I have found the A&E and AIs I have worked with in the past to be darn helpful.... I am sure there are some Bad Apples in every barrell...there are in every industry..but as a lot, I think you will find competent helpful folks out there. Ask around, and visit other fields, etc...I know, sometimes it's not so easy; but find an A&E /AI you like and trust, and stick with him/her....
