I agree with you here Larry.

When I was Coupe shopping, I insisted on pedals. Well
I never found one with pedals. For the first few hours I was
a bit uncomfortable and resorted to crossing my legs and
putting them on the passengers side.

Now I love the Coupe without pedals. I find I don't bother
checking the wing sock except to determine which direction
to land. I just do what ever I have to do to remain on the runway
center line, and land that way. The ONLY thing I don't like is the 
fact that I can't pick up a wing that drops without having a heading 
change. This makes for a bit of wallowing when landing in gusty
winds. However practically speaking it doesn't matter one iota since
as soon as the wheels touch the plane stops flying and heads 
down the runway.
