I'd suggest not pushing the pedals at all while the nose wheel is on the ground when you have the ERCO/Fred Weick style rudder pedal kit. Using the nose wheel to control weather vaning is much more effective and safe. I'd just keep the rudder pedals centered till I lifted the nose wheel off the ground, at which point how they're linked is immaterial. > Once or twice I have accidentally gone > to the stop with the pedal and enough opposite yoke to keep it straight on > the runway without realizing what I was doing. The yoke-nose wheel link has probably kept a lot more people out of trouble than have ever gotten into trouble because of them being linked that way. Any auto driver has hundreds of thousands or millions or tens of millions of learning/practice events of turning the wheel to turn the vehicle. Even experienced pilots have only a few hundred or thousand foot-pedal-push to turn the vehicle events. Which is done in an emergency? By observation, Fred Weick determined that the yoke/wheel turn is done first. I like my Alon pedal kit just because it gives me an extra 10+ mph direct crosswind capability (even though I really don't enjoy flying in those conditions). __________________________________________________________________________ ______ To unsubscribe from this list please send mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ___________________________________________________________ T O P I C A The Email You Want. http://www.topica.com/t/16 Newsletters, Tips and Discussions on Your Favorite Topics
