----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- Hi all,
I have decided to avert disaster and get my engine overhauled,
sometime before the end of the year. Not flying again until I do.
Where is a good place that is relatively low-priced? It seems like I often
hear about people who just got some IA to do it, and the 2 times mine has been
done it was that way. Is this still done or is it neccesary to send it
halfway across the country to a shop? Two places in TradeAPlane that
looked attractive were Kline and St. Louis, does anybody know anything about
them? I am more familiar with places like Mattituck and PennYan but their
prices were truly incredible, around $12,000. At least it has recent
cylinders so I won't need those. Glen Ward
