In fact, the vapor bubble, which generally won't form at all in a gravity feed system, would just get pushed down into the carb and vented harmlessly. It can't really get "up" past the downflowing fuel. (This is also why the fuel can't be sucked up "around" the vapor bubble should one form on the suction side.) > Could the wing tanks vapor > lock? Perhaps, but as there is only one line from the fire wall to the pump, > there should be less > chance of vapor lock there than most planes. It can happen on any system where the pump inlet is above the fuel head in the tank. Fuel vapor pressure, temperature, and lift height all determine how likely it may be. > Could happen of course, but if > you see your header gauge > going down before it should, regardless of the cause, you should look for a > landing within 45 minutes. Again., right on the money. If the gauge is going down, so are you! __________________________________________________ To unsubscribe from this list please send mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ___________________________________________________________ T O P I C A The Email You Want. http://www.topica.com/t/16 Newsletters, Tips and Discussions on Your Favorite Topics
