advice in this forum.]----

There has been a lot of talk about common sense. I
for one do not believe that FAA has been awful lot of
. One of the things even on the Ercoup was your
engine driven fuel pump, it was written to buy FAA as
an AD instead of a service bulletin. This to me
subsidize is an insurance company, also that engine
driven fuel palm does not make the year coupe fly.
And if you cannot see your fuel gauge writing from the
windshield then I cannot help you. The feels greater
on the fuel pump should be looked at at least every
annual, and if you don't then you should watch the
fuel gauge real close. Another outstanding A.D. buy
FAA is regarding the engine on the 0200 Continental.
The FAA inspector or engineer of told made that he and
Continental got together and A.D. cited by regarding
the timing you reduce the pressure in the cylinders
but you do not lose any horsepower. Now of pressure
in the cylinders do not have anything to do with
horsepower then why not leave some your plugs out?
I do appreciated in FAA does do some research before
they put out and A.D. like the one for a metal covered
wings on the air coupe, there have been a lot of what
corrosion found in the metal wings. Their a lot of
times when airplanes are really abused left outside in
the whether with little or no protection and like a
Mooney Might wear the rain would fall on it hard every
time it rained. So FAA found one bad case and a road
up and A.D. for all Mooney might have holes to them.
I have a good friend in California that has restored
to our three Mooney's and he would not cut the holding
his airplane. It took about eight months fighting
with FAA but he finally won and did not have to cut
the holes. Their a lot of horror stories about FAA
like Bob Hoover's medical. And if you ever get letter
from FAA and less it comes registered receipt
requested throw it out. Even when you get a little
older and overweight your BP might start go up a
little bit now FAA says they have to pages of Medison
approved to lower BP, it so then if you start taking
any of them at your next medical when a get still
Oklahoma City they'll send you a letter back telling
you that you should of told of what he started take in
the medicine and now we won electro-Carter Graham and
sometimes treadmill and always the family history of
blood pressure. So little things like this will get
you to where you are no longer cooperating with FAA.
Of course we are blaming all over ailments on the
wrong people the main problem with all of our
activities can be blamed directly on the legal
profession and there again common sense is hard to
find for one thing an attorney with the school 23
years to learn how to read, and you can teach at takes
principles or common sense to do everyone. We're also
in a society of FI get hurt it must be somebody else's
fault, this is called tort law when you can be sued
for something you did know anything about then you
have an attorney looking for the pocket, and then you
get people and jurors that thinking insurance
companies and manufactures have all kinds of money so
it won't cost anything to give a large award to the
poor injured person. That is why you're insurance
coverage cost much, cost of airplanes has gone up to
reject list price, and soon your tires will be even
higher. By once was but them not now A smoker, and I
don't believe you should sue a manufacture of
cigarettes because you fail to abide by any of the
warning all in the pack. Now that's enough for grand
standing and get back to some of the original part of
this, like getting a good A&P and AI. When you find a
good one that is older than your plane and has
mechanical ability that is fairer and knows what he is
doing then his name in address or location should be
posted on the board so the rest of us can enjoy fly
and safely. Joe
