Craig, It doesn't sound as though you have a problem with your speeds. More likely, you have a problem with pattern uniformity. In general, if you develop your own speed/RPM procedure, only two things will effect it; distance and wind. If you keep your pattern the same on every landing, and you adjust speed/RPM the same each time, you will eventually touch down on the numbers every time. Wind, of course, will require small adjustments to correct for drift. But, there is no magic formula that makes it all come together (other than practice). Develop your own technique, and when it feels right for you, it is right.
