A good pilot gets prepared for any eventuality, including YES, making
a mistake. Canyon turns or minimum radius turns are a last resort, but are no
resort if not practiced. Nobody said go into a canyon to practice them,
rather go up to a safe altitude and clear the area. Are you conifident /
arrogant enough to actually say that YOU will NEVER be in a position that
your own stupidity / lack of planning / mis-judgement put you in? Options are
a great thing when properly prepared for.
