John, One point for you. Never seen a pump arm like to Continental C75-85. And the C90's is different from them. The Ford Body has a short arm. Flow rates could be different even if they look the same. The Ford pump has no fine mesh screen.I rebuild Auto and truck engines for 10 years. Worked on Continent fork lift engine, a few ground power units. But that and a buck would buy me a coffee. Sure I can work around airplane engines and I may or may not be as good as some A&P but I still have one check my work.Ercoupes, J3's, Champs and other have one common problem. To many have been work on by people that think they know more that they do.Some people are gifted and can really do everything. I can't.Warren H
Problem is some folks don't realize the difference between the tractor
generator, starter and mags that may have been used "as is" and the tractor
battery that was never used, and simply is not satisfactory. This is why a
tractor expert makes a dangerous aircraft mechanic. They don't see or
