Maybe it's because you can't give that last-minute 
"panic" flare when you realize you're dropping too fast 
and going too slow :-)

I can't speak for the Ercoupe, but the M-10 seems about 
as forgiving as the 152.  In other words, I can be just 
as sloppy with the airspeed and even come down final at 
100 mph, and still get a good landing out of it, without
thinking about it too much.  Once it's on the ground,
it handles a lot better than a 152, I think.  Especially 
in wind.  The Ercoupe would probably be even better, with
those small "rudders."
