Hi Aaron,

You need to add some more information to help with the diagnosis.
1. Which ring or rings broke?
2. What is the history of the cylinders, are they original to the engine
or
its last overhaul or could they be exchange cylinders from an O-200?
3. One of the causes of broken rings is excessive gap in the ring groove
which allows the ring to bounce around. Did your piston look new or was
the
ring groove opened up from age?
4. How many hours on the engine, since last overhaul.
5. Are the cylinders standard steel or could they be +.0015 oversize.
6. I used to remove a cylinder at each annual but always for valve
problems.
Broken rings are not common with the C series engines.
