I wouldn't say that it was difficult - There is an extremely helpful tutorial located here: http://www.geocities.com/oliversl/imp/ Once you have all the required prerequisites correctly configured, it is fairly trivial to setup. Reasons we went for Horde/Imp: Intuitive Interface (Plus it looks really nice!) Multitude of add-on modules (Contacts/Calendar/SpamAssassin/Tasks the list goes on: http://www.horde.org/projects.php) Active Development and support. Ability to Integrate with Multiple backends (SQL/LDAP etc).
