Only thing I see is that the one that works is in "locals".
Both are in : esmtpacceptmailfor.dir/esmtpacceptmailfor hosteddomains and the respective dat files
Well, another issue is that you cannot have the same domain listed in both locals and hosteddomains. One or the other, but not both.
Does this help narrow down the problem at all?
Earlier you said that taking the sending IP address out of smtpaccess removes the problem. The two are completely orthogonal to each other. If you're saying that the presence of RELAYCLIENT is a factor, than you must be saying that it doesn't matter what the recipient address is; the only factor is the sending IP address.
Now you think the issue is with the recipient domain after all.
You need to decide what is the deciding factor, and go from there.
