What makes my configuration advanced?

The Courier-IMAP+Cone combination.

Gotcha..

When you put the two together, you get magic.

Because of SMAP? Just disabled it.
Now cone can't see the folders. :-(

They use a custom protocol to talk to each other, instead of plain-vanilla IMAP.

Is there a list of benefits somewhere why one would want to use SMAP?

Upgrading to the latest version will fix a number of bugs in the Courier/Cone specific wire protocol.

Ok... will keep an eye for the FreeBSD port upgrade.

Any ideas why cone would not see the directories?
The log shows:

READ: ATOM: 000031LIST
READ: ATOM: LIST
READ: QUOTED_STRING:
READ: QUOTED_STRING: INBOX%
READ: EOL
WRITE: * LIST (\Marked \HasChildren) "." "INBOX"
000031LIST OK LIST completed

Thunderbird sees everything fine... but I have all my filters setup in cone.
