No but thanks for the reference, there are some interesting points in the code
although I'm not a great fan of Python. Didn't really want to go down the
LDAP route although the system I'm working with uses LDAP to authenticate
against MS Active Directory (via Courier's authdaemond and Linux PAM
code). I've still got some work to do on the filter to ensure that the generated
signature doesn't include excessively long lines and I also want to improve
the templates to allow a form of conditional operation.
Something like
{ Fax Number %Fax% }
meaning that if the "Fax" field is empty in the database (i.e. the particular
user doesn't have a Fax) then the "Fax Number" string is also omitted from
the generated signature for that user.
Could think of all sorts of other fancy options but I'm going to have to
resist temptation ;-)
Finally I've also got a request for more sophisticated HTML signing including
a logo and, possibly, a picture of the signer. I think this means that text/html
parts are going to have to be converted to multipart to include the encoded
images.
