Auth info is clearly laid out in the message headers along the lines of: Received: from <machinename> (<hostname.domain> [<ip address>]) (AUTH: LOGIN <authinfo> ) > I guess I might have to start > hacking some of the "core" parts of Courier (perhaps "submit"?), this > sounds > like rather more work than I thought. I would doubt it. esmtpd submits to the core courier, what you need is to trap the message in this handover and know how to determine if it is an outbound mail rather than an inbound, and modify the message content as appropriate. > I'm not too sure about how to handle multi-part and MIME encoded mail, one > idea is, rather than a standard signature at the bottom of the mail, put a > standard salutation at the top (a sort of electronic equivalent of headed > notepaper). Any reactions? Just add another multipart section. Adding a "billhead" to the top of the mail is going against all netiquette standards. Stick with a signature at the bottom. -Enda. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
