No. The backup MX will accept the mail, attempt to deliver it to the primary, the primary will refuse to accept mail for a nonexistent recipient, the backup MX will then bounce it back.
I have to setup an alias @example.com: foocatch and in the account of "foocatch" I need ~/.courier-default with "| /usr/bin/maildrop" in it. Now what about the ~/.mailfilters/rcptfilter stuff?
That's something completely different, Courier invoking maildrop during an SMTP session, not upon local mail delivery.

~/.courier ~/.mailfilters/rcptfilter But does this mean, to let rcptfilter work, I have to install for EACH valid localpart a file ~/.mailfilters/rcptfilter-<localpart>
~/.mailfilters/rcptfilter-default will work fine.
