Of course, if a lot of people do this, the spammers will certainly
figure out ways around it, like maybe looking for an MX that
ultimately resolves to a different IP from the lowest-priority one.

(This doesn't mean you shouldn't do it.  Only that it probably won't
make all your spam problems go away forever.)
