I don't understand what you want to say with that.

First: No, all processes I find are named "/usr/bin/imapd 
/home/user/mailbox/". When I specify the user's home or mailbox path inside 
the grep search string, I only get logged-in and (possibly) active imapd 
processes.

Second: And if you're right, this does not change anything about my question. 
I configured a limit of 200 parallel IMAP connections. If this limit is 
counted independantly for SSL and non-SSL connections, there may be 400 
connections. 

Let's recall: I counted 4095 processes. So if the courier limitation would be 
working, there must be more than 3500 couriertcpd processes. Why should this 
happen?


(And to be clear: No, this is not the case. I think I know how to use grep and 
I only grepped for those identically looking imapd-processes running under 
this single user account.)
