I don't see home schooling in such a favorable light. This is just
another case of a society that doesn't want to do anything of public
benefit. Now, individuals have to take it amongst themselves to
educate their children? What ever happened to the idea that society
has some responsibilties to fulfill?
What a nice green space? The hell with free, clean, and enjoyable
parks. Go buy your own green piece of property.
Want child care. Heck, it's your kid. Pay for it yourself.
Want decent food? What's your budget? Aw, too bad..... have a
99 cent hamburger instead. What, don't have that? Here's a dime,
now get out of my way.
Want your kid to learn to read? What, you want government to do
that? Take your kid and go fuck yourselves.
Want a neighborhood that's not next to a highway, a refinery, or a
shopping center? Stupid You, maybe you should earn a little more.
We're not responsible for your individual defects.
Sick.... then pay the bill or just die. It's not the government's
concern. You are not your brother's keeper.
I'm amazed that so many on this list, think that ANY problems can be
solved while negociating with the criminals that run our present
society. If we talk about it, it just seems so abstract and
theoretical. Jeez!
Capitalism fucks with the lifes of our children. It's pure ...... to
think that capitalism can be reformed to do it better in the future.
Go read a copy of something by Charles Dickens. How many centuries
of reform effort do we need?
Reform of capitalism doesn't work. The big guys want it all or
nothing. And they will crash us all before they'll give an inch.
If you want to do something to brake the race downhill, then you have to
oppose your capitalist government. Wholeheartedly, and not just by
voting for a Nader or two.
I hope that I have not been too strident or doctrinaire, and that now
the delicate will have to go elsewhere.
