Exactly my sentiments! One of the good things I see happening in the office
supply warehouses is their shift to home-schooling materials and software.
These resources are also widely available on the web.
This puts the responsibility for content and extent of it right back on the
shoulders of the parents and the family unit, and also reminds them of their
duty of inculcating a sense of ethics and self-reliance in their children.
This is obviously one of the cottage industries we should be encouraging.
As well as life-long learning for adults...
