Ok, after discussion on ##crawl-dev with dpeg, kilobyte and jpeg, we've agreed to defer branching 0.8 until kilobyte (Adam) merges the unicode branch. We've settled on March 31 as the cutoff for branching 0.8, and a (tentative) April 24 release. Considering the size of 0.8 and the amount of work we have to stabilise and balance it, we may slip on the release date, but let's make the March 31 0.8 branch date happen for real. Here's to March 31!
