Since the Makhleb text itself seems to have stabilized, I've been looking into tweaking Grinder's flavor with regard to Makhleb.
The existing Grinder flavor seems to fit things for the most part: torturer fired for inefficiency, the "Mostly I couldn't keep them alive." speech, etc. Since new Makhleb would care more about inflicting pain and death than efficiency in doing either, the flavor tweak could be subtly accomplished by adding a new speech line along the lines of "At least Makhleb appreciates what I do." (as opposed to his former employer, who didn't). His abilities don't match Makhleb powers, but he's not a priest of Makhleb either, and you could say the same about Ignacio. (Along the same lines, Donald's Makhleb-related complaint about not knowing where the demons come from doesn't seem appropriate anymore, as hell-spawned is clearly mentioned now, so it can probably be removed.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ EditLive Enterprise is the world's most technically advanced content authoring tool.
