Looks like we had a temporary glitch that bounced you -- the tech jobs wanted/offered are up and working, so I'd urge you to give it another try. As has been discussed, probably the best way to find an IT job in Canterbury is to make personal contacts -- there's a reason why we cite "success through connections" as a tagline for CSI. So many jobs are filled through word-of-mouth -- people at the Hi-Tech barbeques or CSI workshops saying "do you know anyone who...". Perhaps a discreet plea on the forum would be a good place to start, but I think building those "wetware" networks is a good idea in any case! I suspect that the general importance of those contacts underpins why so few jobs are advertised and why, with the best will in the world, the jobs wanted/offered section on the CSI site and in other media tend to be relatively static. I know that some of the jopbs offered listings on the CSI site are fairly dated now. We could drop them, but I figure maybe they would help job seekers get an idea or suggest a line of contact (eg if x company was looking for a Delphi programmer six months ago, maybe they have another position open now...) Perhaps ones of the things our soon-to-be implemented facilitator can do is follow these up to see how they went. I know iTouch was quite pleased at the response they got -- I think they used the forum -- so it's not without some results :-) Good luck, Vicki Hyde ====================================================== SPIS Ltd, Box 19-760, Christchurch, NZ http://.spis.co.nz * FREE TurboNote+ sticky note trial: http://TurboNote.com --> via Canterbury Software email forum: Success through Connections Email your messages to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Searchable list archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED] Leave or rejoin the list: http://canterburysoftware.org.nz/forum.htm
