By the looks of it I think it should only affect server plugins.
Usermessages will be replaced by protobuffers, so unless the respective c++
plugins are updated, they’ll stop working (i.e. Mani, Sourcemod) .

I hope also some bug fixes or new features will come along with the new
message system, I’m still hoping to see something like \x08RRGGBB and
\x09RRGGBBAA message formatting for SayText2 like in CS:S/TF2.

Are there any resources available that explain what differences we will see
from the protobuf update? I would normally wait for patch notes, but a major
change to networking code seems like there is a risk of breaking peoples set
ups!
