Newt Gingrich was never a true Republican.  He was a media created Republican, a fact the Young Turks knew when they went after him.  From his very beginning as part of the Futurist movement, through his congressional days when he was part of many leftist organizations such as the Congressional Clearinghouse for the Future, he was basically a New Age politician, which is why his popularity remains high with the media.  One might say there are three political parties operating, Republican, Democrat and New Age which has members operating under the Republican and Democratic labels.  If one watches the international political New Age agenda, there one will always find Newt.
This was a real tickle.  Prudy
