Funny, I thought of exactly the same joke. Other stuff operating on
the same principle: amulets/exorcisms to drive away demons; wrapping
tinfoil around your snailmail so the FBI can't xray it; "What Would
Jesus Do?"; encrypting innocuous email; feng shui; an umbrella in
Death Valley to stay dry; etc. But how can one be sure that certain
precautions *work*, like guarding against: CIA mind-control rays;
invisible aliens/elephants/demons; subliminal messages; subversion;
Bilderbergers; incoming asteroids? Sure, maybe you can't SEE the
danger, or it hasn't struck YET; but, any time now...
