Thus if they worked, they'd be ideal products for the generic drug
industry - y'know, the firms that make wait until patents expire,
that pump out zillions of pharmaceutical clones, OTC pain-killers,
the vast bulk of our self-applied remedies.  There's more to the
pharmaceuticals business than just developing and patenting brand-
name drugs.  CibaGeigy may not be interested in selling usable
homeopathic preparations (HPs), but a host of other chemical labs
WOULD be so inclined - IF said HPs were shown to work, and were
marketed to mainstream consumers.

And life expectancy in India is about 49 years, rather less than in
countries practicing western medicine.  That's the problem with the
old 'medical' traditions - patients tend to die young.  Bother.
