I agree with this for the most part and have tried to apply it to childhood
sexual abuse. The problem is since incest or other abuse involves two people
with no evidence or eyewitnesses and both parties may be in complete denial
there will never be any unimpeachable evidence or eyewitness testimony. So
by your standard some events may actually happen and not be true.
The same problem holds sway in cases of Dissociative Identity Disorder,
formerly known as Multiple Personality Disorder, and CE-4, or alien
abduction. So do we label all such events as possible but untrue?
I must conclude from your legitimate analysis that we live in a world where
some real events are untrue because they cannot be proven to have happened.
Isn't this how the Apollo moon landings first "happened" and then years
later by some accounts "unhappened?"
