We can't go whip up a lynch mob without first having absolute proof in our
hands. Otherwise innocent people will suffer and we'll be responsible.
That would make us no better than the people we seek to punish.
I personally have been arrested and jailed on the basis of bogus evidence
fabricated by the police for purely political reasons. It cost me a
fortune to squirm out of it. Even then, it destroyed any chance of the
career I was studying for. I don't want to EVER contribute to that
happening to anybody else. There are a LOT of innocent people in jail.
This is an atrocity. It's better a thousand guilty parties should go free
than a single innocent person be punished. If you feel differently, you're
WRONG.
