On Sat, Sep 25, 2021 at 05:59:11PM +0200 I heard the voice of Rhialto, and lo! it spake thus: > > Such as in https://code.launchpad.net/~rhialto/ctwm/net-close-window > aka lp:~rhialto/ctwm/net-close-window.
Looks reasonable enough. It feels a little bleh to be faking our way in through ExecuteFunction(), but that happens elsewhere in the EWMH stuff already, and DTRT'ing would mean redoing or extracting a lot of the logic in the handler anyway, so the alternative seems like a fair bit of work to get somewhere not obviously better anyway. > But it seems a bit drastic and unexpected that if you want to close > just one window of some multi-window program, that you run the risk > to kill the whole program. +1 -- Matthew Fuller (MF4839) | [email protected] Systems/Network Administrator | http://www.over-yonder.net/~fullermd/ On the Internet, nobody can hear you scream.
