you generally can't save information typed into a pdf.  ( i think only
one of the many forms I have done this with allowed saving but I'm not
even sure of that one).

I dont know if it is an acrobat reader 'feature' or not (to save info in
forms).  I am curious.  Does anyone have more knowledge of acrobat's
inner workings?
