Robert: I'm afraid I can't offer any feedback RE: Skype. I do find that the WLAN radio is pretty week. My iPhone typically gets a stringer signal the the eeePC.
I did have a a couple questions RE: your eeePC. 1.) What model? I have an S101. I love it with the exception of some keyboard quirkiness. 2.) I find that 1GB is just not enough RAM. Have you attempted to upgrade RAM? or the SSD?
