Yup. If you read the full report from M86 (I believe Don provided the link the other day), on page 4 it shows the Administration Panel where "the toolkit enables his customers to review and analyze incoming traffic":
In order, it lists: Windows XP 121582 Windows Vista 106000 Windows 7 56826 Mac OS 3851 Linux 359 Power PC 312 PlayStation 308 Windows 2000 304 Windows 2003 265 Windows 98 53 Eots 27 Unknown OS :( 27 Symbian OS 7 Nintendo Wii 2 iPhone OS 1 SunOS 1 Windows ME 1 So, looking at the data, no OS is perfect. That includes Linux. Not sure, as The Register didn't say, where it got its info about Mac being affected or not affected. And I notice that it never mentioned Linux in either case. But going back to the article Scott sent the link on, "worldwide" <> UK. And the article never mentions that the attack was a) limited to one country, and b) limited to one particular bank within that country. Also, it incorrectly states that the attack is "undetectable", when the M86 report clearly states that three different programs *did* detect it. "Few" <> "none". So I stand by my statement that the article is spreading FUD (and reporting very inaccurately). By reading the user comments on The Register, it seems that some of the banks have some rather questionable security practices which may have made this attack possible.
