You miss my point the 12-bore bean bag rounds are suspect -
a 37mm bean bag round hit to the centre torso is going to
put a man down! In fact downloading is probably the order
of the day.
A 12-bore like the Benelli when operating in semi-auto
mode is designed to use the gas and recoil generated by
a 'normal' 12-bore charge. Bean bag rounds are unlikely
to cycle the action the Arwen on the other hand is
semi-recoil operated and designed to use relatively low
velocity rounds, it should work cleanly with bean bags.
However the Arwen is big! Its relatively unknown and unsexy
so most police forces won't consider it.

Jerry

Which is why I suggested the Benelli M3 Super 90, it is
extremely quick to change a chambered round and it can
be converted to pump-action very quickly too.
The only problem is the weight, but it is a dream
compared to the SPAS 12.
Of course the 870 is an option, that's what LAPD use
but I don't see that happening because as Richard pointed
out it's not the latest high-tech widget.
