Hi, Steve
Pro-actively, obviously what we want is a range of shooting
taught to girls and boys in every school. What shooter would
disagree with that?
Pro-actively, when was the last time the BASC sold cooked game
dishes at one of the shooting shows? It would interfere with
the hamburger concession's business, I suppose, but which
would be preferable at a shooting show?
As for fundraising, I was listening to an Asian local radio
program where people were pledging L100 with each phone call.
They raised the desired L50,000 in no time flat!
Pro-active anything seems to be what the BASC is direly short
of.

Norman Bassett

I do think it's unrealistic to try and get shooting programmes
actually into schools en masse, I've been trying to get Eddie
Eagle into schools here with zero success so far.
I do think some sort of organised programme in urban areas to
encourage shooting sports among youngsters is not a bad idea,
however. Not tremendously difficult to do either, as it's
not hard to set up a minature rifle range.
Steve.
