Steve,
I am sorry that the only sence that has been said on the B.A.S.C. is
considerd to be sarcasm. Having been an ardent campaigner for the rights of
the pistol shooter during the 97 ban. I came into frequent contact with the
B.A.S.C amoung other shooting bodies. I HAVE to say speaking to the horse and
not listening to or reading rubbish!. That they did do a all they could to
try and help.
Having read the letter in shooting Times, I get the sence that I very often
had during the pistol campaign,"sour grapes".I have no interest in political
fullout or back stabbing, my only interest is in the future of "our"sport.
I am sorry that I had misunderstood the concept of your letter and am a
little dissappointed that I am the brunt of you humour!.
Your responce has made me realise just how little I wish to get involved in
BAD polotics so therfore I will no longer be involved with cybershooters, but
thank them for there help on shooting matters I have raised in the past!.
Regards,
Tina

Well, I think you took what I meant too personally, what I meant was
that BASC may have had problems and not lived up to people's expectations,
but the same can be said of pretty much any shooting organisation in the
UK and overall the BASC has done much better than most.
Like I said before, I take no particular view on who should be heading
BASC, I frankly don't care provided that they are effective. I don't
know a fat lot about field shooting, so I'm not really in a position
to judge.
Steve.
