A "pop-over" is a spent bullet in the sand trap, which is hit by an incoming
bullet at such an angle that it is ejected from the sand sufficiently far to
leave the range eg. pop over the butts. As such it is equivalent to a
pebble being tossed or thrown upwards and cannot be materially dangerous to
any living creature larger than an insect.
