Has anyone ever heard of this?
If a dog's tail "quits working" - if they can't hold it up, they should be
put to sleep.
One of my mom's corgis has not been able to hold her tail up - it literally
is dragging on the ground - she cannot raise it to potty. One of mom's
co-workers had this happen to her dog and her vet said that if it didn't get
better they'd have to put the dog down because she wouldn't be able to potty
correctly and that it would/could cause some sort of blockage of her
intestines (or something like that). The dog did get better so they never
went to another vet for a different opinion.
What would cause this to happen suddenly? Mom is taking Molly to her
chiropractic vet in Toledo on Saturday in hopes that an adjustment will
help.
This is really something to think about - who would ever have thought that a
droopy tail would be "life threatening"?
