That's probably due to the fact that thumbnails did not get updated. I
am not an expert here, but I assume that thumbnails in mipmap cache are
only referenced by raw file name and don't have a link to (a potentially
changed) history stack. So in lightroom mode the existing thumbnails are
shown until you first enter darkroom mode.

If that's the case I think it's a bug. Thumbnails should also be
identified by their history stack (md5sum ...).
