Yes. Same thing in Danish where your example would be "GNOME
kontrolcenter", even as a headline. In Danish, also names of weekdays,
months, languages, etc. are in all lower case, contrary to English. So
you're right to never translate/localize blindly.

Thanks, that seems like a very nice resource for strings in English,
although maybe not for darktable :-)
