Maybe I do not understand something. Yes, I just want coloradjustment to tune down the automatic color scaling of an image. Yes, I have done it many times before. And now I want to apply that effect - tonal curve with scaled down color scaling not the whole image, but to the part of it, selected with a. It works as described for the whole image but the behavior changes if a mask is used.
If it is not possible for somewhat reason, it's Ok. But anyway the behavior is not consistent.
