Hi Pascal,

I'm running CUPS 1.7.5 on Ubuntu 14.10 x86_64. So should be neither old
nor a Mac... :)

The printers I was talking about are no local configured printers with
cups but just job queues that get fetched from the CUPS server if
present. The PDF-Printer might indeed not be cups-pdf since it was there
even before installing the cups-pdf package - excuse my ignorance.

The CUPS admin page looks alright and says "no printers."
