how much gtk code is in the print module? we're currently trying to port dt
to gtk3 (major pain). so the gtk3 branch might compete for earlier merge
into master, since diverging master from that branch might be a path to not
get gtk3 support going at all (we've failed once before already, ending up
not merging gtk3 stuff into master..).
