I do understand the issues below; I guess my issue is that if I click on the watermark, the default is the darktable file, not any of my files. I still have to select my file. I do have presets for portrait and landscape set up.» When you scale the watermark to a certain percentage, you have the option to either always scale according to the long edge, according to the short edge, or to consider the image dimensions, first. With the scaling set to «image», a ‘Portrait’ image will be scaled to the long edge, and a ‘Landscape’ image will be scaled to the short edge of the image. I typically —whenever I use it— have it set to «short edge», as I find that, when set to «image», the watermark appears disproportionately large in ‘portrait’ images. Try those settings and see if they can achieve what you want.
