Why do we buy insurances even if we know that most of us will ever never
suffer an accident or a fire? Risk calculation in insurance and more
widely in care and security is a matter of statistics vs value of the
eventual losts, not of certitude.

What's the heck is the reason having driven manufacturers to give as
long as a (theoretical) lifetime waranty? To be noticed : only the card
is insured, not the images... And why do pros like having two inbody
card recorders, making them able to do an on the go mirror backup?
Because no failure can occur?

Strolling on the Internet can show you a relevant number of card
failures. Relevant, indeed, even if not high, because the real fact is
actually that the prime files on our cards ar'nt replaceable in any way
if lost. Never. Because we never can go back in time.

So I feel good taking care, even if the risk is low and even if it is
very low.
