You might consider using the shadows & highlights module, with values like -70 for the highlights, disabling the basecurve, and tweaking the contrast manually. But darktable is not as user friendly as Lightroom in this regard. To get the colors right, you will probably have to tint that blown out region (I guess this is what LR does automagically). Here's a version of your image with an added tint in the blown part: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/40088813/18032014_Oslo_0030_03.jpg I used the color correction module, correcting one unit towards yellow, in a region selected as a shape mask, and a parametric mask for an output b value between -128 and 10.
