Hi Tim,

Driver loaded from Win NT4 folder on cd is OKIMLNT4.dll
I could send you directly a copy of and the associated printer.inf file if
it would be of any use.
Exact paper size is 215H by 345W (Report margins are set to 2, 2, 0 & 47 and
works fine printing directly via NT spooler with 8" page length)
There is not a predetermined paper size listed under the printer in dpspool
that matches exactly but one is fairly close in both Panasonic & Oki.
No. 140:FLS4 (216x330) that I believe with a pitch change to some of the RH
side printing I could make it fit width wise
and Height wise could also get it to work even with manual adjustment every
so often. But using the <249> settings for any of the predifined sizes
appears to make no difference to how far the print can go agross the page
I'm picking that the problem is going to be, as you suggested earlier, with
the NT 4.0 OP system and its drivers.
Just done a check using a Canon i6100 ink jet printer that prints dp output
thru DPspool on A4 paper. It handles A3 paper and it
won't print past the same width as both the Panasonic and the OKI either
when a larger size paper is coded into report.
Just to clarify I am trying to print with pitch set to 12 - similar to the
Dos type size that we get with printing direct to the printer
This lines up with the vertical perforations on the multipart forms we use.
On all the printers, if I change the Pitch setting in the report to say P8
then the form is printed completely, simply because it fits within
the width limitation that I am experiencing. But of course the print no
longer aligns where it needs to on the form.

And Tim, this is not a major if not achievable - We've been printing
directly onto these forms since 1989. It would be nice to "highlight"
some of the info by way of Bold/ Underline Font change etc to make it even
more easier to read in the factory.
If you thinks its easy fixable - fine. But please don't spent alot of time
on it - it isn't life or death. Its only having access to another brand of
printer that's
prompted me to re-visit the problem

Thanks

Regards

Colin
