Hello all,
I read below mail.
Can anyone of u guide me how to get physical address from virtual
address found in system.map file.
Thanks.

For davinci, the DDR physical address starts from 0x8000:0000 and
corresponding virtual address is 0xC000:0000. So map the address you
see in System.map file accordingly..

Please use below method to find where is the boot
actully stuck. I used the method sometime back and do
not remember exact steps currently:

The idea is during early boot, even though you do not
see any kernel prints on the screen they are actually
logged in the kernel log buffer. So we'll try to dump
this buffer

1. Find address of symbol __log_buf from system.map
2. get virt_to_phy(above_address)
3. Reset the board, most likely memory contents will
remain intact.
4. At u-boot prompt do "md <physical address>"

This should give you the last print from the kernel
and we will know where it got stuck in your case

Thanks
